Botox Alternatives: More Options you must Know about

Looking for more Botox alternatives to get rid of wrinkles? Find out in this article right here.

In a previous article, we looked at several different Botox alternatives to eliminate and reduce your wrinkles. Men and women have both been looking for anti aging skin care treatments that work as well as give little side effects. And now, as more people have realized that Botox can result in serious risks and adverse effects, Botox alternatives have become more and more popular. Here are a few more treatments you might want to consider.

Collagen Injections

Crow’s feet, laugh lines, and other deep lines are successfully treated with collagen injections and have been for years. Many people even get these injections to puff their lips to make them look fuller. This treatment can be used in conjunction with other wrinkle treatments or you can use it on its own. Many people prefer this method to Botox simply because it is relatively safer. However, it still has potential side effects such as allergy and infection at the injection site. Collagen is a natural substance produced by your skin, but as we age, the level of this component decreases leading to loose and wrinkled skin.

Chemical Peels

This treatment uses a mixture of chemicals applied to the skin to dissolve and remove the surface layers of the skin to eliminate fine lines and wrinkles. Sunspots, age spots, and irregular pigmentation are also treated with this technique. Some studies have also suggested that a chemical peel can lower your chances of suffering from skin cancer. It is possible to use chemical peels virtually anywhere on the body, but it gives the best results on the face. The deeper the peel, the more side effects there are including recovery time, redness and peeling, and swelling.

Max LED Skin Rejuvenation

Pollution, UV rays, smoking, stress, and toxins all damage and age your skin by attacking and limiting its elasticity. This is what causes the fine lines and wrinkles to appear on your skin. LED Skin Rejuvenation is another new technique on the market that reverses and prevents the signs of aging. Various light wavelengths are sent over the skin to prohibit harmful cellular activity and eliminates the tell tale signs of aging. LED actually stimulates the cells responsible for collagen production. The treatments can last up to several months, but it all depends on the extent of the damage. It also takes time to see the results.

Juvederm

This long lasting wrinkle treatment lifts and puffs up the skin by injecting a special gel into the wrinkle using a tiny needle. It sounds a lot like Botox, but it is really quite different. Instead of dangerous toxins, Juvederm uses substances that occur naturally in to body. It simper replenishes the body’s supply. Depending on the type of wrinkle you are treating, three different formulas that can be used. Juvederm 30 is designed for shaping and volumizing your lips as well as repairing deep folds in the skin. Juvederm 18 is used specifically on fine lines and crow’s feet while Juvederm 24 works best on Glabellar lines and forehead creases.

Now you are aware of an addition four effective Botox alternative treatments to help you get rid of wrinkles. With this many non surgical face lift alternatives available to you, there is sure to be one that will work best for you without having to resort to Botox. All you need to do is decide which one to try.

Eye Wrinkles: What Causes Wrinkles Around Your Eyes?

Have you ever wondered what causes those wrinkles around your eyes? Then find out here in this article.

ADSENSE1

Isn’t it a surprise how much attention a small area can bring and have so many wrinkles? Eye wrinkles come in two different types. The ones that you see under your eyes and the ones around your eyes, better known as crows feet. So what caused these wrinkles around your eyes? It’s a good thing you asked!

crows feet eyesThere are many reasons for these wrinkles developing and surprisingly many of them are developing without you seeing them. This is why it’s best to start preventing them right away so you should plan early.

The largest contributor to those eye wrinkles is the sun. This isn’t actually avoidable because it’s when you’re young that you aren’t aware how you’ll develop wrinkles from the sun, therefore you don’t prevent it. No matter your age you can start using sun block to keep anymore wrinkles from developing and stop your current wrinkles from becoming worse.

crows feet creamWhen the sun is out and you aren’t wearing sunglasses, chances are you’re squinting. Squinting causes wrinkles around your eyes. Remember to wear yours so you can prevent this. If you squint because of your vision you will still develop wrinkles to take proper action to stop squinting.

If your skin isn’t fully hydrated it can develop wrinkles also. Consider using a wrinkle cream containing antioxidants and if you’re able, start doing so while in your 20′s. You can never start prevention too early.

Surprisingly enough stress can also contribute to eye wrinkles. Your stress may be the result of smoking, lack of sleep or minimal sleep, or just from having a hectic lifestyle, among other causes. You may not realize it but we squint and rub our eyes when we’re stressed out. By learning how to reduce your stress you can decrease those eye wrinkles also. It is never too late. Also make sure to take notice if you start to squint or rub your eyes and stop yourself!

reduce fine linesYour diet also plays a part in eye wrinkles. Studies have actually shown and confirmed that while too much sugar is unhealthy for your waistline, it will also leave your skin wrinkled and dull. This is because sugar will damage your collagen, which is essential, if you want to decrease or eliminate your eye wrinkles.

Just because sugar is unhealthy for your skin that doesn’t mean it’s your skin’s only enemy. If you eat a lot of fast food or processed foods your skin lacks the nutrients it needs like the ones in fresh vegetables and fruits. Fresh vegetables and fruits provide the needed antioxidants, which aren’t found in fast or processed foods. The antioxidants help neutralize the free radicals therefore decreasing the wrinkles found both around your eyes as well as your entire face.

And let’s not leave out the whole aging process, which also contributes to laugh lines and crow’s feet. As we get older our skin becomes less firm and our collagen becomes loose. You can help keep your skin on your face as well as the eye area firm by using a quality eye cream.

treatment for under eye wrinklesEye wrinkles don’t have to be the result of aging. In order to reduce the wrinkles you need to take the first step of taking good care of your skin. Now that you are aware what is causing the wrinkles you can start reducing them right away.

Are you ready to explore the other 5 tips? Let’s have a look at the 5 tips that you can put to use right away.

Here they are:

1. Have High Antioxidant Foods

Antioxidants are very beneficial to your diet. They rid your skin of the damaging free radicals which leaves you with healthy, younger looking skin. Plus your whole body will feel and also look better too. Here are the top 20 antioxidant foods: pinto beans, artichokes, prunes, strawberries, raspberries, wild blueberries, black plums, plums, gala apples, granny smith apples, red beans, red kidney beans, blueberries, cranberries, blackberries and russet potatoes. These are the spices high in antioxidants: Oregano, cloves and cinnamon. As you can see there is not a big limitation on the good foods you can still eat that are rich in antioxidants, helping you get younger skin.

2. Get Proper Amounts of Vitamin C

Vitamin C is great for your body both inside and out. Your body cannot produce this vitamin so it is very beneficial to get it in your diet. Vitamin C is an antioxidant as well so it helps defend your skin from those free radicals that make your skin age. Vitamin C also affects your skin’s collagen by ensuring it has the normal formation, maintenance and structural stability. Collagen is the reason your skin has elasticity therefore it can make you look years older than your actual age as you get older.
By consuming the proper amount of Vitamin C you can achieve youthful skin.

3. Exercise Regularly – The 5 Tibetan Rites

There are many beneficial exercises that can improve your skin. The 5 Tibetan Rites are anti aging exercises that have been proven to significantly benefit your body and have been known to do so for over a thousand years now. They help your skin as well by detoxifying the body, improving your body’s oxygen and circulation as well as draining the lymph system. You can reap many benefits from the 5 Tibetan Rites and one of them is healthier skin. You might automatically say you do not have time for exercise but these only take up to twenty minutes of your time so what do you have to lose?

4. The Okinawan Diet

wrinklingThis diet belongs to one of the healthy cultures; the Japanese. The Japanese enjoy bountiful health as well as beautiful skin. It is also one of the healthiest diets out there. The point of this diet is to ensure you get around ten different kinds of vegetables in a day. You have 1-2 servings of flavonoid foods, like miso in one day. You have 1-2 servings of omega 3 foods in a day as well as other foods high in antioxidants like seaweed and turmeric spices. So why not reap the wonderful body and skin benefits you can get with the Japanese Okinawan diet.

5. Reduce Your Stress

People today tend to stress easier than in the past times thus making our body produce high amounts of cortisol which is what ages our skin.
Stress can also make you break out and weaken your immune system which makes your skin vulnerable to more damage. Your skin is the largest organ so you want to take the best care of it by learning to reduce stress in your life and try getting a proper night’s rest. You might consider meditation or yoga to relieve some pent up stress.

Skin Care and Anti-Aging Basics

The basics of keeping your skin looking radiant.

Skin is one of the most robust organs present on human body as it is able to tolerate or adjust to any type of weather or condition. At the same time, it can be considered as the most sensitive part because this is the foremost organ that undergoes changes as one gets old. Hence, it is very much essential to take proper skin care so that it retains its texture, glow and radiance.

get rid of wrinklesThere are several factors that influence the way your skin ages. All these factors can be broadly categorized into primary factors and secondary factors. Primary factors are those conditions that contribute mainly to skin changes due to prolonged exposure. These include diet, lifestyle, personal habits, prolonged exposure to sun, heredity and also the normal process of aging. Secondary factors are those that get associated with primary factors and intensity the process of aging. Some examples of secondary factors include increased stress levels, obesity, smoking and irregular sleeping patterns. Smoking generates highly active and unstable free radicals that can cause significant damage to the skin.

Under the influence of both the primary and secondary factors, skin undergoes several changes as a result of aging.

1. Once the skin starts to age, the most prominent change that one can observe is the roughness of the skin. Skin appears smooth and healthy only when the cells inside the skin are healthy and growing. As a result of aging, cells present in the upper layer of the skin appear shriveled and unhealthy resulting in rough skin texture.

2. Aging causes development of skin lesions.

3. The skin starts to lose its elasticity and appears loose. Elasticity of the skin is a result of two important protein fibers present in the skin. These include elastin and collagen. During the process of aging, these protein fibers breakdown causing the skin to sag and stretch.

4. Skin tends to become more fragile and transparent with age.

wrinkles careAll the above changes appear on the outer surface of the skin. However, there are also changes or signs of aging that appear inside the subcutaneous layer of the skin. Some of these include increased bone and cartilage loss and disappearance of fat tissue below the skin thereby resulting in a skeletal appearance of the individual.

Aging is a biological process that is not possible. However, it is possible to delay the process by providing proper nourishment to the skin. Also, one needs to follow proper skin care measures so as to keep the skin healthy. Most importantly, one should avoid over-exposure to the sun and use proper sunscreen lotions and moisturizers when exposing the skin to the sun.

Another useful aging skin care method is the use of good quality anti-aging and anti-wrinkle creams manufactured by companies such as LifeCell. LifeCell creams are made of ingredients that are extremely beneficial to the skin and can assist in delaying the process of aging by several years. In fact, there are thousands of customers who had used LifeCell Skin creams and are satisfied with the results.

Alternative Treatment Of Brown Spots

They have also been known as liver spots, but this is totally incorrect. These spots that often appear on the back of the hands are caused by sunlight exposure or chronic bruising of the skin. There are lots of bleaches that can be purchased from cosmetic firms or you can make some of your own. Sorrel leaves that have been chopped, placed inside a gauze compress and applied for 10 minutes a day have been known to lighten the spots. Repeat every three days.

anti aging skin care productsGrind yellow mustard in milk and apply to the face during the night. Wash your face the next morning. Onions also can be used for removing freckles and age spots. Slice a red onion in half and rub on the spots twice daily. Continue until the spots fade.

Make sure you wear sunscreen when you step out and protect your skin from the sun as far as possible by wearing a hat or a scarf. These marks could be freckles, and freckles are often permanent.

Apply sour lemon cream on your face. Do not rinse this mask off completely; gently wipe off with a soft tissue and top it up with a moisturizer.

There are several kinds of brown skin spots. A dermatologist is specially trained in detemining the exact nature of a particular skin spot.

Some brown skin spots include seborrheic keratoses, freckles or ephelids, lentigo or lentigines, melasma, and moles. Moles are also called nevi (plural) and nevus (singular), and these may or may not be of a cosmetic nature.
Laser is the best way to remove moles. It is good that you have visited a doctor since moles can be the symptoms of other problems. Since that is not the case, simply get them removed through laser.

You can use lemon in cooking by slicing it or squeezing it or you can drink its juice. Lemon is really tasty as an addition to salads or in tea. It can also be used in cosmetics and for aromatic use.

Take a lemon and squeeze it. Apply the juice on the brown spots, wait and wash with warm water. After you apply the lemon juice on the brown spots don’t go out to the sun for a few hours.

Grate an onion and squeeze it through cheesecloth so that you have 1 teaspoon of onion juice. Mix it with 2 teaspoons of vinegar and massage the brown spots with this liquid. Do it daily twice a day, if possible until you no longer see spots in front of your eyes.

Botox Alternative Creams: Why are they So Popular?

Have you ever wondered why Botox alternatives are so sought after? Find out in this article right here.

 anti aging treatment

Botox has been a highly sought after treatment for wrinkles and fine lines, but in recent years, Botox alternatives have been gaining in popularity because of the nasty and sometimes serious side effects caused by Botox injections.

Botox has several side effects you should be aware of.

Like any other medical treatment, Botox has a very real risk of side effects. They have a wide range of severity and some occur more frequently than others do.

Crow’s feet, laugh lines, and other deep wrinkles can be very depressing and stressful when you notice them in the mirror. This is why the number of people seeking Botox treatments isn’t a shock. They just want them to go away.

Botox treatments are an injection right into the muscles of the face with a micro needle. The injection contains substances that force the muscles to relax, and therefore, prevent the lines associated with aging from appearing. This is by no means a permanent treatment and requires follow up applications on a regular basis to maintain your youthful appearance. This, along with the side effects associated with the treatment and the knowledge that Botox comes from a botulism toxin has left wrinkle sufferers scrambling for better alternatives.

Some of the side effects with Botox occur frequently. It might surprise you to know that almost everyone who gets a Botox treatment experiences at least one of these side effects. This can include a wide variety of things including nausea, headache, flu-like systems, and heavy or drooping eyelids. The side effects from Botox can also include itching, a rash, difficulty or pain when you swallow, and even fevers.

In a small percentage of patients, 3-5%, some of the complications that are less common occur. Unfortunately, there is no way to determine which people will experience these effects. Some of these include redness and swelling at the injection site, pain in your face, and even muscle weakness.

Side effects that are more serious can occur with a Botox treatment. They are rare, but they do still happen in a small number of cases. Paralysis of the muscles around the treatment area can lead to either partial of full permanent paralysis of the face.

Injecting the Botox into the wrong spot on the face is another serious problem that can be more serious than you might initially realize. If the needle misses its target, you can suffer temporary and even permanent paralysis. This will cause at least a temporary case of palsy.

Injecting Botox in and around the eye can cause additional side effects. Some of these include light sensitivity, facial swelling, dry or watery eyes, the inability to close the eyelid, cornea inflammation, and drooping of the upper eyelid. These are more common than you may think mostly due to the delicacy of the eye area.

Does the thought of these side effects make you nervous? Maybe you didn’t know these risks were associated with Botox. If you didn’t, you aren’t the only one. This is precisely why so many people are using Botox alternatives. On the bright side, many of the alternatives work just as well as an injection.

Go straight to the face lift cream that works.

See this review of the seven minute lift which has been called the face lift cream that works. Does it really work in the promised 7 minutes and how does it compare to Lifecell antiaging skin cream for anti wrinkle effect? Find out in this review.

Eye Bags Under The Eyes & Puffy Eyes

Puffy eyes and those bags under the eyes, are they just the result of a bad nights sleep or your hectic life style or is there something more you might like to know?

We all know that ageing brings about changes to the way we look and perhaps most of all we all wish it wasn’t so obvious from the look on our face.

eye bag emovalWith ageing one of the most annoying changes for many of us is to do with the skin around the eyes, the skin loosens and sags, bags under the eyes and those lines we know as crow’s feet begin to appear.

Eye bags form over time where the skin and the soft tissues under the eyes lose firmness allowing the fatty deposits to bulge and become more pronounced.

Crow’s feet form over time due to years of muscle movement when blinking or squinting, think therefore how much of a problem this can be for smokers, always squinting to avoid the cigarette smoke from entering the eyes.

OK, so what can we do to alleviate the problem? Well you may want to consider invasive treatments such as fillers or surgery and that can indeed have the desired affect but what if that is not an alternative for whatever reasons, financial, fear of needles etc..

With those lines around the eyes, we call the crow’s feet it may be worth considering a daily massage routine and the use of a good moisturiser each day to keep the skin as supple as possible.

Massage in a little apricot oil and with the ring finger massage in a circular motion from the corner of the eye outwards towards the temple area. Do this on a daily basis to exercise and improve the efficiency of the muscles encircling the eye Botox is widely used in invasive treatments but good alternatives can be found in the form of certain moisturisers, use these on a daily basis to keep your skin from drying out, there are some that provide excellent overall anti ageing treatments in general too.

Bags under the eyes are often due to fluid retention and again there are ways to reduce the problem other than turning to surgery.

The appearance of those bags can often look worse on waking in the mornings and that’s because the fluid builds up overnight. You might like to try a little exercise in jumping up and down or just running up and down the stairs as gravity can help pull down the excess fluid and lessen their appearance.

There are other well know remedies such as lying down with cucumber or potato slices over the eyes and of course the application of ice or cold teaspoons.

You might also like to try tapping lightly with your finger in the under eye area for a minute or so to try and disperse the fluid.

removing eye bagsIf you believe that those bags under the eyes are as a result of your lifestyle or diet you could run a check on whether or not they are worse after eating certain foods or when you have been consuming too much alcohol or have been in a really smoky atmosphere. Try avoiding some of these things and see if it does make a difference.

Perhaps switching your brands of eye make up, eye make up remover, contact lens solution or mascara might help, you might me sensitive to one of them. If you use an eye cream use only a very small amount and pat or dot it on very lightly along the bony ridge under the eye not right under the eye lashes then massage it in very gently. Make sure that the eye cream you use is the right one for you and make sure that it does not enter your eyes.

You can improve the appearance of skin around your eyes but you must be careful to choose the simplest and most gentle skincare regime and most important of all the right moisturisers and anti ageing products.

Best Eye Cream Or An Eye Lift: Which Is Better?

Want to know why the best eye cream is better than an eye lift? Then find out in this article right here.

One of the biggest things that can make you look old faster than anything else is saggy eyes surrounded by wrinkles and fine lines. As you get older, your skin loses its elasticity and contains less collagen causing the skin that surrounds your eyes to loosen.

Are you considering an injection or eye lift to get rid of this? Maybe you should hear this first. Using a good eye cream might be a better option for you. If you would like to know why, we’ll tell you.

1. No surgery, and no needles!

Getting an eye lift isn’t a ‘snap your fingers and your done’ type of treatment. This in-depth surgical treatment can have various complications not to mention the bruising, swelling, and recovery time. To use an eye cream, all of you have to do is pick a cream, put it on, and enjoy watching your wrinkles disappear. You’re wrinkles disappear along with the fine lines an crow’s feet. There is nothing more to it.

2. Wrinkle creams don’t hurt

Unlike surgical eye lifts, applying a cream isn’t a painful process. It’s that simple. Using an eye cream can actually feel good because these treatments use moisture to leave your skin feeling renewed, smooth, and soft. If you get an eye lift done, you will experience a high amount of pain, which at the very least, will require some type of pain killer.

3. No down time

If you have an eye lift, you will need to book at least 10-14 days off from work for recovery. To protect the surgery site, you will have to leave your contacts out for at least 5 days and will need to wear sunglasses. The time you take off for recovery will eat up any sick days or vacation time needlessly. Eye creams give you the same results almost instantly without having to miss work or deal with the inconveniences of an eye lift.

4. Very few downfalls

It doesn’t matter what kind of surgery you have or how serious it is, there is always a chance of experiencing side effects. This is especially troubling when these surgeries involve the area around the eyes. This is because this eye is very delicate, and if everything isn’t perfect, the eye could be permanently damaged. With risks like these, why not eliminate the possibility of side effects and use an effective eye cream.

5. Easier on your pocket book

If you have looked into an eye lift, you will have discovered that eye lifts are far from affordable. For the cost of an eye lift procedure, you could buy enough eye cream to keep you looking young for a very long time maybe even for the rest of your life. Why spend more money than you have to in order to get the best results.

6. Anti-aging properties in the form of antioxidants

These powerful little ingredients are a vital component for anti-aging. Antioxidants protect your skin from free radicals and other toxins that occur though normal, daily life. This allows your skin and the area around your eyes to look young and healthy. If you look at the ingredients lists of the best wrinkle creams, you will see that they all contain antioxidants. This means they will benefit your skin for a long time to come. The results from an eye lift might look good after the recovery, but it does nothing for the quality of your skin.

7. The effects of wrinkle creams last longer

If you choose to have an eye lift, it might look good after you have recovered, but it will require repetitive corrective surgeries to maintain this look. In the end, the cost of these surgeries begins to mount up and take a lot of the money that could be used on other things. Because eye cream doesn’t need these repeat surgeries, you can save a lot of money.

Now you have heard why the best eye cream is a much better choice than an eye lift to get rid of the sagginess and wrinkles around your eyes. Why not use this information to make a decision as to which method is best to get you immediate results?
